Lauren was raised in Ashland, Kentucky, and attended the University of Kentucky on a National Merit scholarship. She served as president of Eta Sigma Phi, a national Classics society. She was also an active member of College Democrats, serving as Treasurer her senior year. Lauren graduated from UK summa cum laude and with departmental honors for her dual Bachelor degrees in History and in Classical Languages and Literatures. She was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa upon graduation.
Lauren spent two years working as a staffer for two U.S. Senate campaigns in Kentucky. Thereafter, she attended the University of Kentucky College of Law. Lauren was a member of the Kentucky Law Journal and served as president of Students for External Engagement and Development during her final two years of law school. She was also a member of Women’s Law Caucus, American Constitution Society, and the Orientation Committee.
Lauren previously worked for two personal injury firms: David Abney Law, and Stephen M. O’Brien, III, PLLC. She focuses her practice on mass tort litigation involving pharmaceutical products and medical devices.
